Those Darn Accordions Head for The Giant Pumpkin Drop

Seems like we are doing more Oktoberfests than ever this year, but no two are alike. I mean, I can't think of another Oktoberfest we play at that features a Giant Pumpkin Drop that smashes a car into an iron pancake. That's what is going to happen when we play in Seaside, OR on Sept 25. Look, the food, beer and music are gonna be great, but let's be honest, can you really resist seeing this thing smash into a million pieces? Not me.

Those Darn Accordions At Widmer Bros. Oktoberfest

Oh yeah, just a few days until we head back to Portland to play one of our favorite gigs, the Widmer Bros. Brewing Oktoberfest on Sept 11. There's always a great crowd and lots of excellent food and of course, beer! Lots of cool bands playing from 3 pm. We go on at 9 pm. Best of all, you only have to buy a $5 mug to get in! Sweet.

Paul Rogers at "Watervale Talent Show Night"

Every year the family and I return to Northern Michigan to a wonderful resort called Watervale. Of course, there's a 'talent show night" and this year I wrote a song about Watervale and enlisted my kids, Laura and Jonny, and a group of other talented "Watervalians" to play it. Fellow Watervalian, John Haapaniemi, made a video that gives you a good sense of the place. Can't wait to go back next year!
